Beaches
Orebic is home to some wonderful beaches, with the most popular, Trstenica, offering safe swimming for children, and convenient cafes and bars. There are also numerous tiny bays and hidden coves along the peninsula for quiet relaxation. 
 
Water Sports
Water sports such as windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba diving and sailing can be enjoyed from the yacht marina in Orebic.
 
Sports
The town has facilities for various sports, including swimming, tennis and football, with gyms and fitness centres offered in various hotels and apartments, and mountain bikes available for rent. 
 
Historical Sights
The Franciscan Monastery is the most famous attraction in Orebic, with this Gothic-Renaissance building, which dates back to the 15th century, now housing a collection of works of art, and boasting spectacular views out across the sea. Also in the town are several medieval monuments, a Baroque church and a maritime museum. 
 
Walking
There are organised walking tours of Orebic and other local towns and villages, as well as trails and paths through the scenic countryside, full of pine woods, lush cypress trees and almond groves, with the hills affording stunning views of the landscape.
 
Wine Tasting
The region is known as a great wine-producing area, with the Peljesac vineyards boasting some of the country's best reds and whites. Local wineries offer tours of their cellars and local tastings.
 
Shopping
Hand-made goods and crafts make good souvenirs from Croatia, with ceramic, wood, leather and silverware all found in the local shops in and around Orebic, and traditional lace tablecloths a particular speciality.
 
Korcula
Orebic looks out to one of the most popular islands in South Dalmatia, Korcula, with this historic 10th-century island town, boasting picturesque cobbled streets, fortified walls and Renaissance palaces, just a 10-minute ferry ride away. The island has a number of good restaurants and bars to discover, offering various Croatian specialities.
 
Day Trips
Day trips include the old trading post of Mostar, the pilgrimage centre of Medugorje and the island of Mljet, with regular ferries leaving Orebic for Dubrovnik, Split and Hvar.
