Weather in Omodhos – Pleasant summer temperatures
The weather in Omodhos will suit those uncomfortable with the very hot conditions on the coast. The weather in July and August is noticeably more refreshing than the beach resorts, despite being only 20 minutes from the coast. Omodhos temperatures in July and August are likely to be in the high 20’s rather than the low 30’s found in resorts like Limassol. Cooler mountain air, shady forests and an abundance of water makes for relaxing holidays in Cyprus in the hottest months of the summer. Omodhos temperatures at night are often 5 degrees Celsius cooler than the coast, guaranteeing a more comfortable night’s sleep in peak summer. The hillside location also avoids the humidity found in many of the beach resorts. Summer visitors are very unlikely to see any rain at all.
Omodhos Weather – Idyllic spring & warm autumn
Many Cyprus weather guides suggest spring and early summer as the best time to go to Omodhos. The region is famed for its wild flowersand fruit trees are in blossom from March onwards. Spring is also a great time to find cheap holidays here and the Troodos Mountains. The weather in April and May is ideal for walking holiday relaxation and touring the picturesque Troodos Mountains. Both June and September are idyllic. Early autumn is also warm and sunny. The lowest winter temperatures are seen in January and February although you will still enjoy plenty of sunshine and temperatures will feel mild if arriving from the depths of the British winter. The Mount Olympus ski resort usually has snow from January to March.
