Olu Deniz Weather

One of the most popular tourist destinations in Turkey, Olu Deniz boasts a wonderful Mediterranean climate, with perfect weather for a beach holiday featuring plenty of fun in the sun. Located on the southwest coast of Turkey in the Dalaman region, Olu Deniz enjoys a long summer holiday season, which runs from April to early October, with an average temperature of 24C. Early and late in the season sees pleasant warm weather for a low-season break, with the peak-season months of July and August experiencing high temperatures of 30C and above.

 

With its beautiful blue lagoon, white sandy beach and scenic mountain backdrop, the resort is a haven for sun-seekers the whole season long. Summers in Olu Deniz see long lazy days in June, when the temperature reaches 25C, the sun shines for 13 hours each day, and the sea heats up to 23C. By July and August, Olu Deniz is basking in highs of around 27C to 30C, and even reaching 35C, experiencing as much as 14 hours of glorious sunshine each day as well as increasing high humidity. The waters of the blue lagoon hover around 26C during high season, making Olu Deniz perfect for swimming, water sports and boat rides. Night-time temperatures in the summer range from 16C - 19C, with conditions ideal for relaxed al-fresco meals, drinks in the bars and evening strolls around the resort. June to September also sees very limited rainfall each month in Olu Deniz, with any rain coming in the form of occasional light showers. 

The resort is a great choice for an early or late-season holiday, with Olu Deniz welcoming visitors as early as April and up until late September, and both the spring and autumn seasons enjoying warm sunny days, with limited humidity and between 27-44mm of rainfall each month. This pleasant weather is an ideal time to expand on the usual beach activities, and enjoy some classic sightseeing opportunities in the area, exploring the region on scenic walks and hikes, and taking part in outdoor pursuits such as cycling and tennis. Spring sees average temperatures of around 16C, with around 9 hours of daily sunshine, and by May, the weather heats up to 20C, with the sun shining for 9 hours each day. Similarly, September sees highs of around 23C, and 11 hours of sunshine, and by October Olu Deniz is still enjoying warm days with temperatures around 20C. Winters in the resort are mild but see the wettest weather, with temperatures around 9C - 13C, and up to 187mm of rain in January.
