Olhos d'Agua Weather

Olhos d'Agua lies in the central Algarve region of Portugal, just 6km from Albufeira, and 45km from Faro. This quiet family resort is near the beach, and enjoys a typically-Mediterranean climate, with hot sunny weather for most of the year, and an abundance of sunshine.

 

Olhos d'Agua attracts those looking for a relaxing beach holiday, with most visitors arriving during the busy peak season months of June to September. At this time, the temperature is a very warm 25C, with 11 hours of sunshine, rising to 28C during July and August, when the sun can shine for 12 hours each day. Thanks to its coastal location, the resort enjoys the benefit of cooling breezes coming off the Atlantic, helping to make the heat seem more bearable. Water temperatures reach 20C - 21C during the height of the summer, with conditions ideal for swimming and water sports. Olhos d'Agua, like many resorts on the Algarve, is an ideal choice for an early or late season holiday, with spring temperatures of 18C - 22C, and around 7 hours of sun each day, offering fantastic conditions for a very pleasant round of golf upon one of the region's famous courses. September remains a sunny 26C, with October dropping to 23C. Rainfall during the summer is very limited, and night time temperatures range from 15C - 18C - ideal for al fresco dinners and evening walks.

 

The winter season is mild and comfortable in Olhos d'Agua, only dropping to 16C during December and January, and enjoying the added benefit of 5 hours of sunshine each day. There is increased rainfall during the low season, with December and January seeing the most rain - around 100mm.
