Nuns Valley Weather – Village sheltered by mountains
Madeira is blessed with an abundance of sunny weather and also a number of small microclimates throughout the island. The climate in Nuns Valley is typical of Madeira with long hot summers and short mild winters. Nuns Valley does have the advantage of being sheltered from the wind by almost perpendicular mountains that also act as something of a sun trap. Temperatures in Nuns Valley can be hot but are not usually uncomfortable. The summer months will see temperatures heading up towards the 30C mark and can sometimes reach higher. The climate is hot and sunny but not the intense heat that can be found in other Mediterranean locations.
 
Weather in Nuns Valley – All year round sunshine
The locals on Madeira claim that the weather is almost perfect for much of the year. However rain does fall on this beautiful island and the winter and early spring months receive the most rain. Nuns Valley does receive around 300 dry sunny days and the annual average temperature is around 20C. July and August will be the hottest and driest months with temperatures over 25C and eight hours of sunshine per day. A day at Funchal Beach during the summer will allow holiday makers to swim in warm 22C waters. Nuns Valley is an all year round sunshine destination and the only difference between seasons will be some short lived cloud bursts at certain times of the year.
 
Nuns Valley Weather – Warm spring and autumn weather
The spring and autumn seasons in Nuns Valley are particularly beautiful periods of the year. The weather will be warm and sunny with comfortable temperatures of around 20C. The countryside will be in full bloom during the spring months with flowers blooming and the warm air filled with soothing breezes. Holiday makers can still spend days at nearby Funchal Beach and the water temperatures will be around 17C.
