Negril Reviews
Our Review of Negril...
Visitors to Jamaica often have rather contradictory expectations, wanting all the comforts and idyllic beaches of a typical Caribbean holiday while looking for a laid-back, rootsy atmosphere and local colour. In many ways Negril is a good choice. Negril has a much less developed feel than big resorts like Montego Bay and attracts a younger, mixed crowd with its enjoyable beach party scene and laid-back atmosphere, a legacy from its days as a hippy haven. Negril beaches stretch for around seven miles and are simply idyllic. Negril beaches are considered among the best beaches in Jamaica. Negril beaches like Long Bay and Bloody Bay are terrific fun too. Negril offers some very classy all-inclusive deals and some nice smaller hotels. Negril diving and watersports enjoy an excellent reputation. Negril is one of the most likeable Jamaica resorts in terms of nightlife and relaxed, friendly atmosphere: a Jamaica beach resort for those who want to find interesting dining and music beyond their hotel.
Customer Reviews of Negril...
“Really good watersports. Mayfield Falls, the Marley museum and especially the Black river crocodiles were the best of the excursions. We packed so much into our two weeks but there were plenty of people who never left the beach. The beach party scene is really fun and you meet an amazing mix of people. Cool place.”

“Brilliant place to learn scuba diving with very friendly fun instructors. Nice young friendly scene and loads of places to chill out for the sunsets. Try some of the places up on the cliffs for great cocktails. Even if you are all-inclusive you should try some of the more rootsy restaurants.”

“Things have changed since the hippy days but you still get a really good feeling in Negril. Came back with the family after 20 years and was amazed how classy the hotel was. But we weren’t complaining. The Jamaicans still know how to party. Good to be back all in all.”
