Naxos Reviews

Our review of Naxos...
The largest of all the Cyclades, Naxos is a green and mountainous island, with an interesting historical past and some of the best beaches in all of the Aegean. Slow to embrace tourism, the island and its amazing natural beauty has remained unspoilt, and offers a traditional atmosphere, with a strong Greek culture. Ideal for sun-worshippers looking for beautiful beaches and relaxed low-key resorts, as well as wind surfers, nature-lovers, walkers and historians.

Our customer reviews of Naxos...

"Really beautiful Greek island, with some stunning beaches. Our favourites were Plaka and Mikri Vigla - soft white sand and the water was so clear!"
Ms K Greig, Lancaster, UK

"Highly recommend Naxos if you like walking, particularly in the spring. The countryside inland is absolutely lovely, and we did some great group walks - the scenery is magical and there were so many little beauty spots at every turn. We completed a strenuous climb up to the top of the highest mountain, Zas, at over 1,000m, and were rewarded with some spectacular views."
Mr and Mrs B Potter, Wiltshire, UK

"The wind surfing is great on Naxos, especially at Agios Georgios and Mikri Vigla. It's really shallow and was very windy when I was there - I learnt the basics and then sat and watched all the experts!"
Miss E RIce, Bedford, UK

"We loved Naxos for the beaches, the mountains, the food and the very friendly people. Nice for a quiet relaxing week away without the crowds. It's great for island-hopping, and there are plenty of sites if you need a day away from the beach."
Mrs R Knapp, Nottingham, UK
