MyTravel holidays - Merger with Thomas Cook
MyTravel has merged with Thomas Cook holidays to creating a new company known as Thomas Cook Group plc. It has been reported that this new international retail and tourism group will meet forecasted sales of €21 billion. The MyTravel Group PLC included UK brands such as Airtours, Aspro, Cresta, Direct Holidays, Escapades, Manos and Panorama. The company also included an in-house airline, MyTravel Airways, however, following the merger of MyTravel and Thomas Cook AG on 19 June 2007, these brands have passed to the new combined Thomas Cook Group PLC.
