Molyvos beach is pebbly with sand out in the water. The beach has an EU Blue Flag award in recognition of its cleanliness. Snorkelling is popular. The beach nearest the town has the most sand while the part away from the town is much quieter. Excellent secluded beaches and tiny coves can be found moving west from Molyvos towards Petra. A series of attractive bays, thermal baths and excellent tavernas are found at Eftalou to the east of Molyvos. Many other beaches can be reached by boat from Molyvos.  Holidays in Molyvos can enjoy dozens of attractive worthwhile boat excursions from the harbour including the beautiful town of Skala Sikaminias, the beach at Tsonia and wildlife trips to Rabbit Island
