Minorca also goes by the name of Menorca. The Island of Minorca measures only 52km long (32 miles) and 15km wide (9 miles). The coastline of Minorca is very dramatic and differing. It boasts stretches of varied beaches, from gently curving silver-sanded bays and coves to rocky inlets. Minorca not only offers superb beaches and beautiful reesorts but also holds plenty of interest for history lovers, with lots of attractions to experience.

The most popular beach on the island is Cala Galdana, set in an amazing horseshoe bay while Santo Tomas is favoured by families and honeymoon couples.The longest beach on the island is the sandy Son Bou beach which is unspoilt by development and backs onto open countryside.
