Mexico Weather - Constant sunny skies
With almost guaranteed year round sunshine and and clear warm waters, Mexico is one of the most attractive long haul destinations for visitors, making an ideal choice for the simple pleasures of water sports and sunbathing. Much of the country lies within the tropics, ensuring stable, settled weather and consistent high temperatures throughout the year with a distinct rainy season similar to the Caribbean islands. The east coast beach resorts enjoy the best of this weather with temperatures rarely dipping below 20c even during the rainy period. October to June remains the best time to visit with constant sunshine, mild evenings and low humidity.

Variations in climate do occur with the Pacific north coast receiving more rain than elsewehere and the dry central plains becoming very hot and humid at times. The main beach resorts in the east have cloudless blue skies and temperatures hovering around 27c from May to October with the cool trade winds offering respite from the heat. Typically, this region enjoys 6-8 hours of sunshine each day throughout the year. The onset of the rains do not affect temperatures too greatly as they are stable although humidity can be a factor.

Outside the dry central plains, heat in Mexico is rarely too oppressive allowing for a full program of outdoor activities in relative comfort.
