Messonghi Weather

Corfu holidays are famed for its fabulous climate, and the hot weather in Messonghi will not be a disappointment to sun lovers. Bright blue skies and constant sunshine is the norm for much of the year here. The climate is quite stable but there will be some seasonal differences. The autumn and spring months are warm rather than hot and are comparable to a warm spring day in the UK. Winter holidays in Messonghi will be cooler with temperatures hovering around 15C, but there will still be plenty of sunny days. Rainfall is rare during the summer months and will tend to stick to the winter and early spring months.

 

For the beach lover, the weather in Messonghi during the summer months will be ideal. The peak summer months of June, July and August will bring temperatures over the 30C mark. September will also see high temperatures of around 28C, and the sea waters will still be warm enough for swimming, snorkelling and diving. Sunshine levels are high throughout the six summer months, and visitors can expect around 12 hours per day during the peak months. This is the perfect time to explore Corfu and the attractions of Corfu Town and nearby Moraitika.

 

Those who prefer slightly cooler temperatures should consider a holiday in Messonghi during the spring and autumn months. Temperatures during the Easter holiday period in April will be around the 20C mark and there will be around seven hours of sunshine per day. The weather in Messonghi will still be warm during November and even the festive period will see temperatures of around 15C. Rainfall levels will be slightly elevated during the winter months but showers will be short-lived and should not be too frequent.
