Menorca Holidays - A delightful destination
Menorca, the second largest of the Balearic Islands, is a delightful destination offering great beaches, beautiful landscapes and a leisurely pace – an ideal combination for a family holiday. Menorca has more beaches than all of the other Balearic islands put together - 120 spread over its’ 200km of coastline – ranging from tiny secluded spots nestled in the rocks, to long stretches of golden sand flanked by hotels and beach bars. A holiday in Menorca generally means lazy days on the beach, leisurely delicious meals, scenic coastal walks, and the occasional spot of shopping.

Holidays in Menorca – A wide range of resorts
All of the resorts in Menorca are suitable for couples and families, with some being more lively than others, with a wider range of facilities. The south coast is characterised by long sandy beaches, home to resorts such as Son Bou, boasting the longest beach at 3km, Cala Galdana, with its’ relaxing child friendly atmosphere and Cala’n Porter, the lively resort with its’ horseshoe-shaped bay and English-style bars. Binibeca and S’Algar, with their pretty whitewashed villas, are popular with the British looking for a peaceful base with access to watersports. Along the west coast the shoreline is rocky and dramatic, dotted with numerous ‘calas’ – small rocky coves – and home to resorts such as the family-friendly Cala’n Bosch, with its shallow warm waters, and the bustling Cala’n Forcat and Los Delfines, with its’ lively nightlife. Menorcas’ north coast is rugged and well-known as the best stretch of coast for fishing, with the traditional village of Fornells and its’ smart neighbour Playa de Fornells, with its magnificent views, being popular resorts for couples. Also along the north coast is Son Parc, known for the only golf course on the island, and Arenal d’en Castell, a favourite for families with its lovely sandy beach.     

Holidays in Menorca – Quiet and peaceful
The tranquil island of Menorca is ideal for families, and those looking for a relaxing break. The pace of life is far removed from that of its’ neighbour, Majorca, with its party atmosphere, with most visitors happy to visit the great restaurants and enjoy a drink in the evenings. Mahon, the capital of Menorca, is a wonderful day trip, home to a picturesque harbour, plenty of fantastic places to eat and drink and some fabulous shops, with shoes and other leather goods being excellent value.
