Mastihari Holidays – North-coast resort with a good beach Mastihari is 18 miles west of Kos Town and only 5 miles from the airport. Mastihari is in the middle of the north coast of the island of Kos and is quite isolated compared to many Kos resorts. However, Mastihari holidays are not as quiet as they once were, as this resort has developed since the construction of a new port, but it remains quite a relaxed and unsophisticated place with a good beach and ferry connections to nearby islands.
Mastihari holidays – Beaches, coves and a working harbour Holidays in Mastihari are based very much around the beach and the port, the two divided by the main square and a road that leads away into the interior. Mastihari beach is a good wide stretch of flat white sand with a fifth century basilica at the far western end and a few places to eat and drink by the edge of the beach. More secluded sandy coves can be found if you are prepared to walk away from the centre of the resort. Windsurfing is a popular Mastihari holiday activity along with cycling. Mastihari holidays can take advantage of ferry connections to the islands of Kalymnos and Pserimos
Holidays in Mastihari – Increasingly popular but relaxing resort The busy and colourful port in Mastihari is one of the most important on Kos and provides good fresh fish for tavernas that are found on the road inland leading to the centre of the village and also around the square and the port. Mastihari holiday nightlife is low-key. For better shopping head to Kos Town. Buses run to Kos Town where you will find shops, nightlife, ancient sites, cosmopolitan street life and good transport connections with the rest of the island. Add variety to Mastihari holidays with a trip to inland villages.
