The Atlantis waterpark in Marmaris is packed with enough thrilling water-rides, chutes and bumper boats to keep kids and adults entertained for days. The park also boasts its own beach, bowling alley, restaurant and bar.
Scuba Diving
Scuba diving in Marmaris is well catered for and there are numerous certified professionals who will provide short, inexpensive courses. Keep an eye out for the Marmaris Diving Centre that is located on a boat near the local tourist centre.
Hire your own yacht
There are plenty of operators in Marmaris who hire yachts to holiday-makers. The price will depend on the number of people in your party, but you can hire a yacht, complete with skipper and cook, for a few days or longer. Spend a few days sailing around the Turkish islands and stop off at leisure on whichever beach takes your fancy.
Marmaris Castle and Museum
Step back in time with a visit to the Marmaris Castle and Museum. The castle itself has some interesting exhibits and affords some spectacular photographic opportunities. You can stop off at the Panorama Bar on the way to the castle for some great local food and breathtaking views.
The Dalyan Mudbaths
A “must be experienced” attraction on holiday in Marmaris is the famous Dalyan mudbaths. Cover yourself in this healing and cleansing mud and then wash yourself clean in the 40 degree sulphur pool. You will be left with glowing, clear skin, and the mud is also claimed to relieve rheumatism ailments.
Beaches
You can take your pick from some wonderful beaches in and around Marmaris. As you would expect from resorts located on the Mediterranean Sea, there are some spectacular golden beaches. The lagoon at Olu Deniz is world famous for its beauty, but on all of the beaches you will find people enjoying a wide variety of water sports such as windsurfing, snorkelling and scuba diving.
