Marina d ' Agro Holidays
Marina d'Agro Holidays - Quiet beach resort on scenic rocky coast of Sicily
At Marina d'Agro you will find a small traditional Sicilian village centred behind a pretty shingle beach. To access the beach you must descend the rocky escarpment that shelters the bay, via a steep flight of steps. For this reason, older people or families with very young children may prefer to head to one of the other, more accessible beaches along this stretch of the Ionian coast. Marina d'Agro itself is quiet and sophisticated, characterised by a handful of luxury and family hotels. There are also villas to rent in the area, which offer spectacular views of the sea and the region's rugged, mountainous backdrop. Transfer time from Catania Airport is between one hour and 90 minutes. The regional city of Catania is 65 km to the south, while Taormina, Sicily's most famous resort is approximately 6 km away by road.
