Marina Resort Weather
Marina Resort weather – Enjoy beautiful weather all year round
The Marina Resort is situated at Anse La Raie near the northernmost point of Mauritius, sheltered from the southwest winds which blow across this idyllic tropical island. The weather is warm and sunny most of the time and attracts people looking for beautiful sunny beaches and water sports throughout the year. Temperatures are fairly consistent, although they are cooler and less humid when it’s summer in Europe, ranging from around 23°C in July and August to 29°C in January. There is a rainy season from December to March/April, but the rain usually consists of tropical storms which are heavy but soon over, leaving the countryside refreshed.
Weather in Marina Resort – A tropical paradise with heavenly views
Marina Resort is not as hot as the west coast, nor as wet as the south, but it can be humid in the rainy season - as you would expect of a tropical island. The upside of travelling then is that the island is less crowded, as well as spectacularly beautiful. November through to April is also cyclone season, however, and, although the resort is well prepared, it is important to take notice of weather reports if travelling during this period. Should the humidity get a little too much, travellers can always take a trip into the interior plateau, where temperatures are several degrees cooler.
Marina Resort weather – Sunny beaches washed by warm turquoise seas
In the hotter, wet season the sea isn’t much cooler than the air, reaching 28ºC from December to February (compared to around 22ºC in July and August), although many water sports enthusiasts would say this is just perfect. With its year-round warmth and around 7-9 hours of sunshine each day, Marina Resort is an excellent destination at any time. Although those interested in activities such as golf and tennis may prefer the cooler months of July and August, there will always be travellers who want to swap a grey British winter for some tropical heat and colour.
