Weather in the Marche Region - Fantastic summer season
Italians and foreign tourists’ alike head for holidays in the Marche region during the summer season, drawn by the excellent beaches and unspoiled miles of coastline. In high summer temperatures average 28 degrees and up to 10 hours of sunshine, Marche has all the ingredients for a beach holiday to remember. After dark, humidity levels drop and temperatures tend to fall to around 17 degrees making for a comfortable nights sleep. Rain is not uncommon in the summer but usually arrives as showers rather than downpours so will not interfere with your holiday or beach time for long.

Spring and autumn are ideal alternatives to high summer as times to visit Marche. Temperatures averaging 21 degrees in May and 24 degrees in September mean that Marche enjoys a long, hot summer. With and up to 8 hours of sunshine in these months, a beach holiday can be enjoyed outside high season. Spring time is especially beautiful as the rural areas of Marche come to life with wild flowers and the Italian light creates endless picture postcard moments. Although the winter months can be cold and sometimes wet, Marche is famous for its museums and art galleries offering visitors plenty of opportunity to keep warm and soak up the culture.
