Marbella holidays
The chic and glamorous resort of Marbella is perhaps the most well-known in the Costa del Sol, offering fabulous beaches, upmarket hotels and restaurants, and a vibrant nightlife scene. Once a humble fishing village, Marbella has expanded drastically since its’ inception as a tourist resort back in the 1940’s, and is now Southern Spains’ equivalent to Monte Carlo or St. Tropez, attracting the rich and famous, along with celebrities and royalty.

Holidays in Marbella – Discover the traditional Andalusian village
Marbella is a wonderful mix of glamour and charm. A beautiful promenade runs along the length of the resort, lined with shops, bars and restaurants, and the famous port at Marbella is home to plenty of luxury yachts and cruisers. A 7km stretch of golden sand offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy the wonderful sunshine of the Costa del Sol, with the two beaches of Marbella, El Fuerte and El Fontanilla, providing all the convenient amenities one would expect. Hidden away behind Marbellas’ glamorous exterior, with its’ chic designer shops and elegant marina, is an authentic old quarter, full of Andalusian charm and Moorish influences. ‘Orange Square’ has a maze of narrow streets, rows of whitewashed houses with flower-filled balconies and offers plenty of charming local craft shops and traditional tapas bars. The skyline of Marbella is fairly low-rise, offering accommodation to suit most visitors, with the surrounding hills and countryside dotted with exclusive private homes and luxury villas.

Marbella holidays – Vibrant nightlife and upmarket shopping and dining
Many visit Marbella to see and be seen, and the town is crammed with exclusive restaurants, trendy bars and up-to-date clubs filled with the local jet-set. Restaurants serve everything from international fare to traditional Spanish cuisine, and the shops are filled with a mix of designer clothes and locally made goods and crafts. The ‘Golden Mile’ running from Marbella to Puerto Banus is one of the most glamorous areas, and Puerto Banus itself, a few kilometres west, offers an even more exclusive array of outrageous luxury yachts, casinos and all-night clubs and bars. As well as water sports in the area, sailing, tennis and golf are all readily available, and the beautiful countryside around Marbella is perfect for scenic hikes and bike rides.
