Typical of a resort close to the Equator, Mararikulam experiences a tropical climate and is very much like many of the other coastal cities in India. The average maximum temperatures can rise up to 36C in the summer and to a minimum of 18C in winters.

The summer season in Mararikulam begins in March and continues right up until the monsoon season which runs from June till November. By and large, Mararikulam experiences very humid temperatures, which can increase dramatically during the monsoon season. The months of October to April are very hot and humid, which can make holidays during this time of year quite uncomfortable at times.
