Malia Weather – Hot Greek sunshine and stunning beaches
Malia is famed as Crete’s north coast party capital, and whether it’s long lazy days in the sun or enjoying the numerous water sports the weather in Malia will be ideal. Uninterrupted sunshine, clear blue skies and warm sea waters make Malia the perfect destination for sun lovers. The all year round warm weather in Malia means that a sunshine break can be taken throughout the year, although there will be elevated levels of rainfall during the winter months.
 
Weather in Malia – 30C temperatures during the summer
Hot weather lovers will find the peak summer season months in Malia ideal. Temperatures in Malia during June, July and August will hover around the 30C mark but temperatures of 35C are not uncommon. There is very minimal rainfall from May through to mid October, and holiday makers can expect around 12 hours of hot sunshine per day. September is another hot month and is considered to have the ideal sea conditions for swimming, snorkelling and diving. Evening temperatures during the summer will be warm with a minimum night time temperature of 20C; perfect for the open air bars, restaurants and nightclubs.
 
Malia Weather – Warm spring and autumn months
Many holiday makers prefer the spring and autumn months in Malia when the temperatures do decrease. During March and April there will be slightly higher levels of rainfall and temperatures will hover around the 20C level. The spring months are very fresh and Malia does become awash with flowers and lush greenery. Autumn months such as late October and November will still be warm and swimming is still available until mid November. Winter holidays in Malia are cooler at just under the 20C mark and rainfall levels will be higher. In general the winter season Malia is comparable to a warm spring in the UK.
