Mahon Weather

Every year holidaymakers return to Menorca, and in particular, Mahon to take advantage of the hot Mediterranean sun that beats down on the beaches for around 12 hours a day during the hottest months. The climate in Mahon consists of long hot summers that stretch from May until October and mild winters where the sun shines down for around five hours per day. June to August is the hottest months of the year and you can expect almost 12 hours of 28C constant sunshine during these months. The autumn months will be slightly cooler but still warm at around 26C. There may be some rainfall around this time of year but it will usually be very short lived.

 

With around 315 days of sunshine per year you are usually guaranteed excellent weather in Mahon. The laid back beaches in this area are blessed with uninterrupted sunshine during the months from May until October and if you love to lounge and soak up the sun you are in the right place. With the temperatures in Mahon heading over the 30C mark on a daily basis during the summer months you will be glad of the breezes that drift in to take the edge from the heat.

 

Christmas holidays in Mahon are very popular as the Spanish see Christmas as a very special celebration. Although the nights will be cooler you can still expect the sun to be shining in Mahon for around five hours per day with temperatures of around 15C from December to February. By April the temperature in Mahon is again heading up to the 20C mark. With constant sunshine and at less than three hours flight from Britain a holiday Mahon is the perfect location for an Easter holiday or festive break.
