Lluca Things To Do
The Town
Javea's waterfront centres on the fishing port, and boasts a picturesque Old Town full of charm and history. There is both an indoor and outdoor market, and a number of shops, bars and restaurants, some looking out over the water. In general the town is quiet and peaceful, with a relaxing atmosphere.
Beaches
The coastline boasts a number of great beaches, such as El Arenal, the main beach at Javea, with its golden sands and promenade lined with restaurants and cafes. There are also a host of hidden bays and secluded coves to visit.
Water Sports
Activities on the beaches around Lluca include jet-skiing, windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling and scuba-diving, as well as boat rides to other coastal resorts such as Calpe, Denia and Altea, and fishing trips from the port.
Golf
The region is home to plenty of golf courses, including the local Javea Golf Club, with the combination of warm sunny weather and the scenic views across the Costa Blanca creating ideal conditions for the game.
Sports
Accommodation in the area features swimming pools, tennis courts and gyms, with bowling and carting in Javea. The mountains offer extreme sports such as rock climbing and paragliding.
Cycling
Bicycles can be rented in Javea, and the medieval town, with its narrow cobbled streets, can be explored by bike, as well as scenic paths along the coast, and more challenging mountain trails in the hills.
Walking
The area around Lluca is a delight to explore, whether it's on a casual stroll or a strenuous mountain hike. The Jalon Valley region is known for its scenic landscapes full of lush citrus groves, pine forests, fertile orchards and charming towns and villages.
Horse Riding
Another fantastic way to experience the real Spain, trekking and horse riding can be enjoyed through riding schools and stables in the area.
Theme Parks
Families can head to the nearby theme parks and water parks, which include Terra Mitica, Aqualandia and Mundomar, which are all less than an hour away.
