Lloret de Mar Holidays - Welcoming tourists for 50 years
Halfway along the Costa Brava is the regions’ largest and liveliest resort, Lloret de Mar, which continues to be a favourite of the 18-30 crowd with its’ great beaches, 24-hour entertainment, and wealth of cheap food, drink and accommodation. This former fishing village and trading port has been welcoming tourists for 50 years, and behind the high-rise hotels and neon signs lies an attractive old town in Lloret de Mar, with some lovely tree-lined squares, and houses and cafes still full of traditional Catalan charm.

Holidays in Lloret de Mar – The largest and liveliest resort on the Costa Brava
Lloret de Mar is located in the largest bay on the Costa Brava, with its’ beautiful pine-clad coastline full of secluded coves. The main beach here is a recipient of the Blue Flag award, this small stretch of sand and shingle is ideally positioned in the town centre, offering a multitude of facilities, from every watersport imaginable to organized beach games. This beach gets extremely crowded, so many holidaymakers travel to the other beaches in the Lloret de Mar area, such as Platja de Fenals, Platja de sa Boadella and Platja de San Christina, all just a couple of kilometers away. The streets behind the waterfront are packed with shops selling goods mainly catering to the tourist trade, but some good deals can be found on locally made leather and linen. Hotels here are primarily 1 and 2 *, offering cheap and cheerful accommodation, and cater to the young crowd and the many groups who frequent the resort. Food and drink in the town is extremely reasonable, with a huge array of international food, particularly British- style pub grub and fast food, however the old town does have a number of traditional Catalan bars and cafes serving the local ‘menu del dia’.

Lloret de Mar Holidays – Packed with a huge amount of bars, pubs and clubs
Holidays in Lloret de Mar are all about the beach by day and the bars and discos by night, and with over 500 bars and 30 clubs, visitors are spoilt for choice. From bingo and karaoke to foam parties and Flamenco shows, Lloret de Mar provides entertainment for everyone, with many places open all night. Families are well catered for, with the many facilities including go-karting, bungee-jumping, bowling and horse-riding, and the resort is home to 5 play areas. Other attractions such as Waterworld and Marineland provide great days out for the family, and boat trips along the coastline are always popular.
