Weather in Llofriu - Mediterranean climate in Costa Brava region of Spain
Llofriu lies 20 miles east of Girona, in the Catalonia region on the Costa Brava in Spain. This country town sits inland, just a few miles from the sunny beach resorts of Tamariu and Llanfranc. A holiday in Llofriu enjoys a typically-Mediterranean climate, with hot dry summers with an abundance of sunshine and mild wetter winters. 
 
Llofriu Weather - Visit during the spring and autumn for walking and sightseeingThe area is a popular walking destination, with the ideal time to explore this scenic region being the warm spring and autumn months, when the weather is very comfortable and not too hot. March and April see temperatures of 16C - 18C, and between 5 - 6 hours of sun each day, whilst October enjoys highs of 21C with the sun shining for up to 7 hours. May can be quite rainy, sometimes seeing the highest amount of rain all year - up to 85mm, but in general the showers are short-lived. Temperatures in May and June reach 21C - 25C, and the days are filled with up to 8 hours of sunshine, with no humidity experienced. The hottest months are July and August, when highs reach 28C, the sun is out for 9 hours a day and the humidity levels are moderate. These summer months are the driest, with between 38mm - 58mm of rain. Visitors to the beaches can expect pleasant sea temperatures of 19C - 23C - ideal for swimming.

Winters see mild weather, with the coolest month of January seeing maximum temperatures of 13C. There is still sunshine during this time, with December seeing 4 hours each day, rising to 5 in January and February. The winter months do see a slight increase in rainfall with Llofriu seeing a steady amount of rain each month - between 50mm and 60mm.
