Llafranc Weather

The resort of Llafranc is blessed with an abundance of sunshine thanks to its central coastal location in the Costa Brava. The climate here is less intense than that found in the more southern resorts. However, temperatures do still soar up to and over the 30C mark during the peak summer months. Winter temperatures are pleasantly warm at around 13C but holiday makers who prefer higher temperatures should head south to resorts such as Blanes and Lloret de Mar during this season. The spring and autumn months will be warm with the sunshine interrupted on rare occasions by short-lived showers.

 

As you would expect from a beach resort the climate in Llafranc is constantly hot and sunny during the long summer months. From April onwards the temperature will start to head over the 20C mark, which is perfect for an Easter family holiday. June through September is the hottest period of the year when temperatures will regularly head up and over the 30C mark. Sunshine levels are also high with an average nine hours of sunshine per day during the summer. Rainfall at this time of the year is a rare event and will usually only come in the form of short showers during the night. The summer months in Llafranc are perfect for relaxing on the beach or swimming in the warm Atlantic Ocean.

 

Those who prefer slightly cooler temperatures should consider a holiday here during the spring and autumn months. May and September in Llafranc will bring temperatures of around 17C to 25C; perfect for exploring nearby resorts such as Tamariu and Platja d’Aro. There may be a chance of showers during these months but they should not spoil any holiday in sunny Llafranc.
