Llafranc Beach
Llafranc is an upmarket beautiful little Spanish resort Llafranc Beach compliments the village perfectly. Set in an idyllic pretty little bay, Llafranc’s golden beach is sheltered by a tree-lined promenade with sand that shelves straight into the sea. One of the prettiest beaches in the Costa Brava it is not hard to see why it is popular with the rich and famous.
Sight Seeing
There is a number of sightseeing attractions in the Llafranc area. The spectacular Cap Roig botanical gardens are always a popular way to spend an afternoon, and the nearby medieval town of Pals contains hidden attractions around every corner. Walk to the lighthouse high on a hill above the town and the reward will be some amazing panoramic views out over the bay. Don’t forget the Garrotxa National Park with its amazing volcanic landscape.
Restaurants
Restaurants here are either the first class option run by the hotels or the numerous private restaurants dotted around the village. The seafront area is the place for fish and seafood dishes washed down with some chilled chardonnay. Llafranc’s village square also boasts a number of excellent restaurants and cafes serving homemade Catalan dishes.
Nightlife
The nightlife in Llafranc is a quiet affair focussing on little bars and restaurants. This is a very romantic village full of winding lanes containing atmospheric little taverns, sometimes with live music. Sit outside a tavern as night falls sipping a cool drink and watch the stars twinkle over the bay.
Sports Activities
As you would expect from an area with a fantastic climate there is no shortage of sports activities in Llafranc. Horse riding, sailing, scuba diving and jet-skiing are all available at the resort. Boat trips from Llafranc are the best way to view the coast and a glass-bottom boat voyage is a popular way to spend an afternoon.
