Follow M62 West to junction 6 onto the A5300 to the A561 and follow signs to the Airport, which is located off Speke Hall Avenue. When travelling from the South and East take the M6 northbound to junction 20 with M56. Follow M56 to junction 12 onto A557/A562 dual carriageway via Runcorn Bridge to merge with A561. Follow signs to the Airport. From Wirral, it maybe more convenient at peak times to use the M53 and then the M56. From North Wales join the A55 to connect with the M56 eastbound. The taxi rank is located directly outside the entrance to the airport terminal. The journey to Liverpool city centre is 7 miles and takes approximately 20 minutes

Hunts Cross is on the Merseyrail Northern Line with regular trains to and from Southport, Liverpool and local stations. Hunts Cross also serves trains from Warrington and Manchester. The 80A links Liverpool Airport with nearby Garston station with a bus stop close to the station and operates every fifteen minutes.
