Walking & Hiking
Lesbos offers a spectacular landscape and is a walkers' paradise, with the many historic trails and marked paths ideal for everything from a gentle stroll to a strenuous mountain trek. May and October are the best months for walking, when the climate is ideal and the fields and meadows are in bloom.

Cycling
The unspoilt island of Lesbos can also be explored by bicycle, and boasts an extensive network of trails and paths through its varied landscapes. The fertile eastern part of Lesbos offers perfect terrain for cycling - its interior covered with lush meadows, orchards and olive groves, and leading to a host of traditional villages, thermal springs  and deserted coves and beaches.

Bird-Watching
Fast becoming known as one of the best places in the Mediterranean for bird-watching, Lesbos continues to attract increasing numbers of birders every spring. The islands' location and variety of habitats help to make it a haven for many rare species of birds, whilst the stunning scenery and extensive wildlife make it popular with nature-lovers and eco-tourists.

Water Sports
The main resorts on Lesbos offer plenty of facilities for water sports, with Thermi, Sigri and Vatera being popular with those looking for organised beach activities. Choose from activities such as pedalos, canoeing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and water skiing, as well as land-based sports such as beach volleyball and tennis in many resorts.

Scuba Diving
Diving is available on Lesbos, with numerous trips out to explore the blue waters of the Aegean. From a beginners' introduction to the sport, to qualified open water certification, the clear seas and warm waters around the island offer great conditions for scuba-diving.

Sailing & Boating
Explore the eastern Aegean and the beautiful coastline of Lesbos by sailboat. Take a catamaran cruise around the island, enjoy a glass-bottomed boat ride, or choose to visit one of the neighbouring islands such as Chios or Samos, or the nearby coast of Turkey.

Day Trips
Lesbos is the third largest Greek island, and offers the visitor a host of places to see. Tour the island taking in beautiful beaches such as Vetera and Skala Eressos, traditional villages such as Agiossos and the charming medieval town of Molyvos.The capital Mytilini is home to a historic castle, and the island boasts  many museums and historic settlements to visit.
