Dubai is busy constructing the largest collection of theme parks in the world as part of a $60 billion project. This week, Legoland became the latest to announce its inclusion sign up for Dubailand, the desert based entertainment complex attraction featuring theme parks and attractions.
In total, there will be 26 projects, which include separate theme parks for Marvel Super Heroes, Dreamworks, Universal Studios, Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder. Dubailand has also been chosen as the first destination outside of the US, to feature the successful Six Flags theme parks. Work has already started on Dubailand, with marketing director Ahmed Tag Eldeen stating that the latest announcement is just the start:
"From December 2010, we will be opening a theme park every six months."
