Las Vegas Weather

Picking a time to holiday in Las Vegas is pretty easy - anytime! Situated in the Mojave Desert, Las Vegas benefits from a typically arid desert climate. This means long baked summers, temperate winters, seemingly ever-present sunshine and very little rainfall.
Las Vegas Weather - Scorching summer sun
One thing to remember to when booking a holiday to Las Vegas is that the summers are very hot. With average daily temperatures of around 30°C in May, June and September with July and August hitting 40°C, an ideal way of taking a break from the hectic 24/7 of Vegas is to sit back and top up your tan in the confines of one of the many luxurious hotel complexes. Although dry a majority of the time, it is worth noting that with the best of weather in July and August comes the short thunderstorms which are common throughout summer.
Weather in Las Vegas - A winter escape
A holiday in Las Vegas during winter will find the weather mild and cool. The majority of annual rainfall for the area, 114mm, falls significantly from January to March. However, there is no better way to escape the rain than to visit this man-made oasis that is Las Vegas. November to February offers on average in excess of 8 hours of sunshine daily meaning any drop in the weather should not last too long. Although snow settles on the surrounding mountains of Las Vegas from December to May and provides a stunning backdrop to the city, it rarely falls on Vegas itself.
