Beaches
Lardos beach boast an EU Blue Flag status and is one of many beautiful beaches dotted along this coastline including nearby Pefkos and Lindos. Lardos beach is the perfect place to relax in the hot sunshine or spend an afternoon enjoying numerous water sports.
Water Sports
Water sports in Lardos can include water-skiing, parasailing and windsurfing. Lardos and nearby Kiotari both boast their own water sports centres but serious windsurfers will no doubt journey south to Prassonissi, which is considered one of the best windsurfing spots in the Greek Islands.
Sightseeing
A sightseeing trip from Lardos to Lindos will allow holiday makers to view the amazing Temple of Athena on the Acropolis. Donkey taxis are the most popular way to visit the ruins; cars are not allowed. A trip to the beautiful resort of Kolymbia via the Kolymbia Express boat from Lindos can also be included. A jaunt to the stunning Vlicha Bay will provide many photographic opportunities. A visit to Flyers Café at Pefkos will allow holiday makers to take sightseeing trips by airplane.
Sports
The scenic countryside surrounding Lardos is ideal for mountain biking, horse riding and trekking. Sports in Lardos can also include tennis, volleyball and mini golf. Golfers can also make the 30 minute trip north from Lardos to Afandou to enjoy the excellent 18-hole championship golf course.
Day Trips
Day trips from Lardos can include the bustling Rhodes Town to enjoy the traditional bazaars and restaurants in the Old Town or Turkish quarter. Boat trips from Rhodes Town harbour can include Marmaris in Turkey and Greek Islands such as Kos and Symi. A trip to Butterfly Valley to explore the largest gorge in Europe is an exciting day out.
Nightlife
Nightlife in Lardos is centred on lively little tavernas and restaurants. Nearby Lindos will provide a wider selection of late night entertainment venues.
