Lanjaron Weather

The spa town of Lanjaron is well known its climate of fresh air and spectacularly sunny weather. Sunshine levels in Lanjaron are high throughout the year with the peak summer months receiving an average of 11 hours per day. Lanjaron’s high altitude means that the temperatures will be high during the summer months although there will be cooling breezes that will take the edge from the heat. Rainfall from June until the end of September is practically nonexistent with showers usually occurring between November and February. The pure mountain air, abundance of sunshine, and the Mediterranean food are the reason some of the locals live to over a hundred years old.

 

A holiday in Lanjaron provides the best of both worlds; beautiful Spanish mountain scenery and easy access to the Costa del Sol beaches. During the summer months temperatures can easily head up and over the 30C mark, especially during July and August. June and September are very popular months as the weather in Lanjaron will be slightly cooler at around the 27C mark. Evenings during the summer will be warm, and light clothing will be all that is required. The spring, summer, and autumn months provide high levels of sunshine that is perfect for either exploring the surrounding countryside or relaxing on the beautiful beaches.

 

The winter months in Lanjaron still provide a fair amount of sunshine. Temperatures during December can reach around 11C, which is comparable to a warm British spring day. By the Easter holidays the temperature in Lanjaron will be heading towards the 20C mark, and the countryside is particularly breathtaking at this time of the year. Lanjaron is one of the most visited spa towns in Andalucia, and the climate, Mediterranean cuisine and water purity will leave any holiday maker feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
