Beaches
There are plenty of beaches in Lagos and you can choose one to suit your mood. Head to the intimate stretch of sand at Praia da Dona Ana with its warren of coves and little grottos if you fancy some seclusion. For a more vibrant busy beach choose the two mile long curve of sand at Meia Praia, the longest beach in the Algarve, popular with windsurfers and jet-skiers.
Nightlife
The nightlife in Lagos is nothing if not buzzing. Trendy bars and pavement cafes rub shoulders with late night jazz bars and nightclubs such as Bar Amuras where the music doesn’t stop until 4am. The nightlife on a holiday in Lagos can be as quiet or as vibrant as you like with something to suit every age.

As you would expect from one of the most popular resorts in the Algarve there is an exciting number of first class restaurants in Lagos serving both traditional and international dishes. Don’t miss out on the freshest seafood dishes in restaurants around the harbour, and also try out some of the delicious local wines and spirits.
Childrens Attractions
There are a number of children’s attraction in Lagos that will keep children and adults amused for hours. You can spend a day watching the gibbons and flamingos at the Lagos Zoological Park or head to nearby Lagoa’s Slide and Splash, one of the Algarve’s best water adventure parks.
Sporting Activities
There is a long list of land and water based sporting activities in Lagos. You can choose from horse riding, scuba diving, wind-surfing, tennis, sailing and even watching bull-fighting. Golf is also popular in the area, and the first class courses offer some spectacular sea views as well as the glorious weather.

From dolphin safaris to champagne cruises there is no better way to see the Algarve coastline than from the deck of a yacht. There are numerous excursions from Lagos and you can find many tour operators down at the harbour area. Spend a few hours drifting along the Atlantic Ocean or book a whole day with lunch and drinks included.
