Weather in La Pineda - Hot summers with high temperatures
The resort of La Pineda lies along Spain’s' Costa Dorada and, like many towns and resorts along the coastline, enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate. Although La Pineda sees hot summers with high temperatures, the resorts' more northerly location results in the weather being a little cooler and more comfortable than resorts further south. This fact, along with the 300 days of sunshine and clear blue skies, makes La Pineda a popular choice with families.

La Pineda holidays in Spring see mild temperatures, with March and April averaging around 13-15C, rising to 17C in May. June marks the start of the hot weather, with average highs of 21-25C each day, however temperatures of up to 30C not uncommon. Summer sees the occasional storm, which tends to be quite heavy and tropical but pass quickly, and the town enjoys an average of 10 hours of sunshine during the height of the season. The maximum sea temperature during the summer reaches around 22C, and winds during this season are south-easterly, helping to keep the humidity down.

The majority of the rainfall in La Pineda is seen during the spring and autumn months, with September and October being the wettest, and the seasons being fairly unpredictable. This part of Spain is considerably wetter than the south, resulting in plenty of lush green countryside surrounding the town. Winters, again are cooler than the south, but still remain mild, with an average temperature of 11C, and January seeing an average low of 9C. The north-easterly wind, the mistral, blows through La Pineda in the winter, helping to blow any mist and fog away and keep the skies clear and blue.
