Visit Ancient Bodrum
Konacik is located on the main road between Bodrum and Turgutreis, just a couple of miles from Bodrum town centre. There are loads of local buses that’ll take you into this fascinating town and resort to visit attractions like Saint Peter’s Castle, the famous amphitheatre and world renowned Mausoleum, one of the seen wonders of the ancient world. Plus there’s also the historic Myndos Gate, the city ruins, Cevat Sakir Museum and Zeki Muren Museum.
 
Gorgeous Beaches
There are some delightful beaches close to Konacik with crystal clear waters and clean golden sand. Choose from Bitez, Bagla, Karaincir, Ortakent, Gumusluk, Turgutreis, Yalikavak and
Gundogan.
 
Exciting Boat Trips
Local boat trips are very popular with tourists, taking in the area’s many beautiful, unspoiled bays and coves. Some trips provide snorkelling equipment, others don’t. The Aegean is generally flat, calm and warm without tides and strong currents so you should be safe from any form of sea sickness!
 
Snorkelling and Diving
The Bodrum Peninsula is ideal territory for divers and snorkelers, with loads of exciting spots to explore whether you’re an expert or a beginner. Explore Black Island, Wolf's Point, Big Reef, Small Reef, the Lighthouse, Pacoz Bay, Orak Island and many more. The area is home to plenty of exotic species like colourful, odd-looking parrot fish, large octopi, tuna and barracuda. The sea around Konacik is also home to several exciting shipwrecks, also excellent for diving.
 
Surfing
Konacik offers great surfing for beginners and seasoned experts. The Bodrum Peninsula can be windy so there’s loads of potential for big waves, big breezes and suf-led adventure. Try out the surfers’ favourite beaches at Bitez, Turgutreis, Ortakent, Gundogan, Gumusluk and Yalikavak. The excellent local windsurfing schools will kit you out properly.
 
Relaxing Turkish Baths
A Turkish bath isn’t much like a mere bath. It’s much, much more. A traditional Turkish bath involves working your way from comfortably warm rooms through to extremely hot, steamy rooms, finishing with a vigorous and stimulating body scrub. You can even add on a massage for the perfect Turkish bath experience.
 
Nature and Scenery
Konacik is close to some stunning scenery, a great day out if you’re getting a bit bored of the beach. The so-called Bodrum, Mumcular and Cokertme Triangle is a wonderland of mountainous and hilly terrain smothered in cool, fragrant pine forests and packed with wildlife. Hire a car and explore the surroundings, and stop to meet the very friendly locals along the way.  

Exciting Jeep Safaris
There are several local tour companies in Bodrum itself that offer jeep safaris deep into the Triangle’s interior, usually coming complete with an expert guide and a tasty lunch.
 
Shopping
Head for Bodrum where you’ll discover loads of regular markets selling everything from local produce to clothes and textiles, handmade copper goods and typical local souvenirs.

Hiking and Walking Trails
There are loads of well-marked hiking and walking trails, from challenging to easy and everything in between. From Konacik try an easy hour and a half’s walk between Pedasa and Gökçeler castle or between the Lelegian houses and Pedasa, which is much more difficult.
