Koh Samui Things To Do
Koh Samui Beaches
Koh Samui beaches are quite simply breathtaking. Coconut trees sway over delicate, white sands, lapped by clear, turquoise waters. Whilst many Koh Samui beaches provide all the amenities you could ask for, others are quite simply deserted, leaving you with the choice of what side of Thailand you wish to experience. Chaweng Beach is one of the finest on offer, with 7 km of white sand and a great choice of facilities ranging from petite beachside cafes to classy cocktail bars and nightclubs.
Butterfly Garden
For those on a family holiday looking for some entertaining things to do in Koh Samui, then the butterfly farm makes an ideal choice. Here, there is a chance to see some of the most beautiful butterfly species in the world within one space. As well as butterflies, there are other insects to observe, including a hive in which you can observe bees working, and a museum where rare insects of Thailand are displayed.
Crocodile Farm
Koh Samui has two incredible crocodile farms with over 100 animal species including salt water crocodiles, snakes, lizards, apes and many others. The farms provide daily shows where visitors can observe the animals up close during their feeding times. The farms also handily offer a chance to see some of the wild fauna without having to trek deep into the Thai jungle.
Snake Farm
One of the more exciting activities to undertake on a holiday in Koh Samui is a visit to the area of Taling Ngam in the south of the island. With two daily shows, you will be able to witness first-hand, the different types of snakes which live in Koh Samui. Spectator safety is guaranteed throughout the shows, which also allows you to view centipedes and scorpions up close making for a thrilling trip.
