Climb Mount Kenya
This impressive extinct volcano, stands more than 5000 metres high making it the second-highest mountain in Africa. Several companies arrange adventure tours ranging from day trips to weeklong treks. Cruise on Lake Victoria

Explore the Great Rift Valley

Beautiful Beaches
Kenya's Coral Coast, north and south of Mombasa has some of the world’s most stunning beaches. South of Mombasa, the 10 km long Diani Beach is the best and most famous in Kenya. Scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing and water skiing are all available whilst the popular resort of Bamburi is home to turtle nesting sites.

Take a balloon ride
Viewing the Kenyan landscape from a hot air balloon must rank as one of the most incredible experiences in the world. A number of companies arrange balloon safaris over the Masai Mara and Serengeti National Reserves where you can see huge herds of animals, elephants and lions from a truly unique perspective.

Enjoy a dhow cruise
Boat trips from Mombasa on traditional African dhows are the perfect way to sample some local culture and experience life on the ocean. Offering wonderful views of Mombasa's old port and the coast the dhow cruises provide gourmet food, drink, local specialities such as Kenyan coffee served from a traditional Kahawa pot and live music.
