The beach at Kemer is probably where you'll end up spending most of your sun holiday, and with the kind of weather that the Turkish Mediterranean is famous for you'll find it difficult to leave. 30C summer temperatures are not unusual and are the reason so many people return here year after year. The kind of hot, dry summers that you get here are ideal for those looking to do a spot of diving. Crystal clear waters and sea temperatures of around 20C make the diving scene here incredibly popular. Kemer is a great resort built around the beach at its heart; however the natural beauty of the area is worth seeking out to make your relaxing holiday in Turkey that little bit more special. The Antalya region has some famous landmarks such as the canyon at Goynuk and the Beldibi Caves. These natural sights are made all the more stunning by the surrounding local geography with rugged hills and lush green pine forests carpeting the landscape. For the more activity minded the autumn and spring seasons are a great time to come, the sea and air temperatures remain around the 20C mark but you get a good breeze that make water based activities that bit more exciting. Head to Kemer in spring or autumn if you want to make the most of the activities in temperatures that make the exercise less demanding.

 

300 days of sunshine bake the surrounding landscape, and you'd be unlucky to get rained on outside of the winter months. Dec and Jan tend to be the quietest time for visitors although can be a great time to catch a bargain.
