Kefalos is 24 miles from Kos Town, 10 miles from the airport and is on the south-west corner of the island with miles of sandy beaches to the south and the wilder parts of Kos to the west. Kefalos is a hill village with whitewashed houses that combines with the busier beach resort of Kamari below. Limnionas beach to the north is a little quieter and has a pretty harbour and two more good beaches. Boats are available to explore the more isolated beaches to the west.
