Excursions to Santo Domingo
A trip to the Dominican Republic’s capital of Santo Domingo is a must. Located only 30 minutes from Juan Dolio this city holds a wealth of historical monuments and Spanish architecture. Los Tres Ojos, or The Three Eyes, is a large group of caves and lagoons that are well worth visiting. Santo Domingo also boasts spectacular beaches as well as some of the best restaurants, shopping opportunities and nightlife in the Dominican Republic.

A sightseeing trip to the Rio Chavon area from Juan Dolio will reward holiday makers with some of the Dominican Republic’s most stunning scenery. This area has been used as locations in many films including King Kong, Jurassic Park and Apocalypse Now. Take a steam boat ride up the Rio Chavon River, or for the ultimate ride try water skiing up the river.
