Weather in Jibacoa - Beach resort on northeast coast of Cuba, sub-tropical climate 

The beach resort of Jibacoa is located on the northern coast of Cuba, 60km east of Havana. 

Jibacoa enjoys a sub-tropical climate, with an average annual temperature of 25C, and is affected by the north-eastern trade winds that blow across the island. November to April, the dry season, is considered the best time to visit, with the rainy season running from May to October.

 

The dry season from November to April sees warm temperatures in Jibacoa, ranging from 21C in the coolest month of January and 24C in April. February and March are the driest months, seeing 42-43mm of rain, and there's plenty of sunshine during the winter season, with most days seeing at least 7 hours of sun. The average humidity level in Jibacoa is 78%, with the northern trade winds that blow along the coast helping to temper the heat. The water temperature in Jibacoa reaches an average temperature of 26C, creating ideal conditions for scuba diving and snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters around the resort.

 

Summers can see high temperatures of up to 31C - 33C, with July and August being the hottest months, and water temperatures rising up to 28C during this period. September and October are the rainiest months, seeing 135mm and 158mm respectively, with Cuba's hurricane season running from August to October.
