Ixia Weather – Enjoy Greek sunshine all year round
Rhodes is famed for having the best climate of any of the Greek Islands, which is the reason for its local name of Sun Island. The climate in Ixia is typical of the sunny Mediterranean; long hot summers and warm short winters. Ixia is located high on the north coast of Rhodes, 45 miles from the coast of Turkey. This area is famed for its healthy climate and is blessed with 300 sunny days per year. The peak holiday season in Ixia is from June through August but holiday makers do arrive as early as April and the weather is still fine in October.
 
Weather in Ixia – 30C from June until September
Holiday makers who prefer high temperatures will favour the peak holiday months of June, July and August. Temperatures in Ixia during these months will hit 30C but July and August can see the temperatures heading into the mid thirties. Rainfall in Ixia is practically nonexistent during the summer, and the northwest Meltemi winds will blow in to temper the heat. Sunshine levels in Ixia are high throughout the summer with 12 hours of hot sunshine per day. Evening temperatures are a warm 22C; perfect for dining out in the open restaurants in Rhodes Town.
 
Ixia Weather – Warm spring and autumn months
May, September and October are popular holiday months in Ixia. During these months the temperatures will hover around 25C and humidity levels are low. The spring and autumn months are perfect for exploring the many sightseeing attractions in Rhodes. There will be some rainfall during the early spring, late autumn and winter months but these showers will usually pass by quickly. Winter holidays in Ixia are more relaxed and quiet, and with temperatures of 15C the weather in Ixia is comparable to a warm spring day in the UK.
