Ithaca Weather - Constant sunshine on this Ionian island
If you like everyday to be sunny, and love to feel the heat for 13 hours a day then the weather on Ithaca during the summer months will not disappoint. The little island off the west coast of mainland Greece benefits from scorching temperatures that hover around the 30C mark from June to September. The island has a typically mild Mediterranean climate year round but during the summer months the temperatures do soar. The winter months are still warm, and from December to February Ithaca will still see warm temperatures of around 15C.
Weather in Ithaca - Summer temperatures perfect for the beach
If you love lying on beaches and little coves basking in the sun then the Ithaca weather will be ideal. From May onwards the temperatures reaches over the 25C mark and rain is mostly non existent. The sun will be shining down on the beaches of Vathy and Kioni for around 12 hours per day and you can expect the turquoise waters to be the perfect temperature for swimming, snorkelling and water-skiing. The nights will also be very warm and are perfect for enjoying cooling drinks on the terraces or relaxing in the open air bars.
Ithaca Weather - Cooler temperatures for an Easter break
Head for a holiday in Ithaca in March and April and you will find temperatures cooler than those during the summer months. You will still have no problem achieving a golden tan during an Easter break; the temperatures rise to 20C and over, and you can expect the sun to be out for around seven hours per day. It is the perfect time of the year to explore this colourful island’s many historical sights and little villages, or to simply relax in the sun and drink some cooling Ouzo.
