Shopping in Italy’s Chic Fashion Capital Milan
Milan in northern Italy is home to the world’s most famous fashion brands and glamorous boutiques, so for keen shoppers and fashionistas this is the city to head for.

Soak Up the Sun Italian-Style
Italy offers some great beach holiday destinations and there are all types of water sports available. For stylish hotels and great food in beautiful surrounding the Italian Riviera in Liguria is ideal, and there are great spots along the Adriatic and Amalfi coasts. For more secluded beaches head to the sandy southern coast of Sicily.

Skiing in the Italian Alps
The skiing in Italy stretches from the Milky Way ski area in the west to the Dolomite ski resorts in the east. In the Piedmont region, major ski resorts include Bardonechia, Sauze d'Oulx and Sestriere. Further north, the Aosta Valley's resorts include Cervinia, Courmayeur and La Thuile. Italy's most upmarket ski resort is Cortina D'Ampezzo in the Dolomites.

In the Valle d'Aosta region a great thing to do is hill walking or climbing in the Gran Paradiso National Park and Mont Avic Regional Park. Here if you’re lucky you’ll spot chamois and ibex. In the National Park of Abruzzo, inhabitants include Marsican brown bears, wolves, chamois and eagles.

Visit the Pope in Rome
Rome’s Vatican district is not to be missed. Here you can be inspired by the mighty basilica of Saint Peter, check out the Vatican Palace and enjoy the museum and gardens. For some the singular attraction is the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo’s stunning ceiling frescoes. If you time your visit right, you might even glimpse the Pope.
