Israel Weather

Israel Weather - Excellent sunshine record
Weather in Israel is dry, hot and sunny and rainfall is relatively low even during winter months. Although 60% of Israel's land mass comprises desert, there are mountainous regions that provide a cooler, more comfortable climate. The north has a typical Mediterranean outlook with long and hot summer days and mild winters where rain can fall in heavy spells but is neither prolonged nor frequent. Coastal heat can feel oppressive in the height of summer although cooling sea breezes bring some comfort. In the south, the landscape becomes parched and dry and rainfall here is low.

Weather In Israel - A guaranteed hot and dry climate
Summer sees Israel's weather at its hottest with clear skies and constant sunshine from April until October. Rainfall is a possibility in the north and central regions but is a rare occurrence at this time of year. Coastal resorts enjoy cooling sea breezes most days and warm sea temperatures. Offshore winds can be strong in mid summer months and care should be exercised when swimming and practising water sports. Daily temperatures reach 31c with up to 13 hours of sunshine likely. Evenings are warm and fresh and only occasionally sultry.

Israel's climate is ideal for a winter beach break with consistent sun and rainfall restricted to a small number of days. A creditable 7 hours of daily sunshine ensures rewarding sunbathing and temperatures average at 23c. Rainfall occurs more frequently in the north and comes in the form of brief heavy showers. On higher ground the air is milder and wetter and there is snow cover for several months where skiing can be enjoyed. Evenings are fresh and occasionally chilly with night time breezes. Israel winter weather sees moderate humidity and pleasantly warm temperatures.
