Beach
The Blue Flag beach at Islantilla is backed by sand dunes, and offers a calm and peaceful base for sunbathing and swimming, stretching for 2km along the Andalusia Algarve, in Portugal. There are umbrellas for shade, and a selection of bars, cafes and shops nearby for drinks and snacks.

Water Sports
Activities offered on the beach include windsurfing, kite surfing, jet skiing, diving, snorkelling, and canoeing, and there are fishing trips running up and down the coast. There's a local sailing school based in Islantilla, offering instruction and rentals along the stunning Costa de la Luz.
Golf
A major golfing destination, Islantilla is home to a beautiful world-class 27-hole course, set against a pine wood backdrop and offering stunning views out across the Atlantic. The course is divided into three different 9-hole loops, and for even more choice, there are four other courses to try in the area.

Hotels and apartments in the resort have a range of facilities for guests, including swimming pools, tennis courts, table-tennis, pool, gyms and fitness centres, and there is go-carting and bowls locally.
Walking & Cycling
A haven for walkers, hikers and cyclists, the Andalusian countryside boasts plenty of hidden treasures to discover amongst the rolling hills, thick olive groves, and tiny white-washed villages, with plenty of trails to follow along the coastline, too.
Horse Riding
Islantilla has riding stables nearby, and visitors can explore the coastal paths and lush countryside on horseback, offering an alternative to a day on the beach or the golf course. Treks are available for all level of rider.
Donana National Park
The national park is an important wetland reserve, and a key site for migrating birds and various different types of wildlife. Full of marshlands, streams and sand dunes, the park is a popular day out for nature-lovers, with visitors welcome on foot.
Day Trips
Local towns such as La Antilla, Ayamonte and Lepe give visitors a taste of traditional Andalusia, whilst the Portuguese Algarve is a short drive or boat trip away. Day trips to cities such as Seville and Jerez offer a change of pace, with fantastic shopping and dining.
