Indian Ocean Weather - what to expect in tropical paradise
Indian Ocean holiday destinations including Mauritius, the Maldives, the Seychelles, Kerala, Goa and Sri Lanka, have similar things in common: superb beaches, stunning natural scenery, and fantastic weather. Holidays here will be blessed with long hours of sunshine, balmy warmth, and delectably warm sea water to ensure you make the most of the coral reefs and tropical fish here. Temperatures hold steady between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year in the Seychelles, for example, peaking in April. If you are heading to the Seychelles or Mauritius, the best time to visit is May to September when it is drier and slightly cooler.

Indian Ocean Weather - take note of rainy season
Winter holidays in the Indian Ocean are now a firm favourite with British tourists. The Maldives are ideal as the winter months do not have too much rainfall and humidity is at its lowest on the islands. However be aware that the Seychelles are actually wetter than England during December and January. Year-round, pack light waterproofs as well as sunhats and sandals to prepare for Indian Ocean weather. It’s also advisable to take light long-sleeved jackets for evening wear and to allow for indoor air-cooling, which is prevalent in most Indian Ocean hotels and restaurants.

Indian Ocean weather - head to Goa for maximum sunshine hours
From October to March, Indian Ocean favourite Goa maintains steady temperatures of between 25C and 30C. With an average of 10 hours of sunshine a day, Goa genuinely guarantees hot, sunny weather, alongside its great food, awesome sunsets and laid-back tranquillity. Because Goa’s monsoon season starts in June, and ends in September, visitors tend to plan holidays to Goa between the end of October and the end of April. July is the wettest month, while February is the driest.
