Ialyssos Weather – beautiful beaches and hot sunshine
Ialyssos has long been a favourite destination with UK holiday makers thanks to the virtually guaranteed sunshine. Located on the north coast of Rhodes this beautiful little beach and village resort is blessed with long hot summers and short gentle winters. The climate in Ialyssos is typical of the Greek islands and 300 sunny days per year is the norm. Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the winter, early spring and late autumn months and will not usually appear during the summer. Whether it’s relaxing on the beach, diving in the warm sea waters or exploring Rhodes Town, the weather will always be warm.

Weather in Ialyssos – the ideal summer beach weather
Temperatures during the peak summer months of June, July and August will hover around the 30C mark but can regularly exceed this during the afternoons. Although temperatures are high from May through to October the Meltemi winds will blow in to temper the heat. Rhodes is known as a windy island and these breezes do become stronger as the year progresses acting as a natural air conditioner. The winds are also the reason that windsurfing is one of the most popular sports at the beaches of Ialyssos and nearby Kremasti.

Ialyssos has moderate humidity levels for much of the year although levels may be slightly high for some during July and August. Humidity levels will also very low during the months of April, May and October, although there may be some infrequent showers. Winter holidays in Ialyssos are warm at around 16C, and although rainfall levels are elevated there will still be plenty of sunny days to enjoy.
