Ialyssos is on the far north coast of Rhodes, just 6 miles south-west of Rhodes Town, 2 miles from the resort of Ixia and 4 miles from the airport. Ialyssos is also known as Trianda. Ialyssos village retains plenty of traditional Greek atmosphere and architecture, a fine church, a Byzantine monastery and ancient ruins with fantastic views. Ialyssos village is surrounded by hills, olive groves, citrus plantations and attractive little fields. It is a fine place to mix with the locals and get a taste of uncommercial Rhodes village life while sitting in the village centre tavernas.
Ialyssos – Good location for historic Rhodes Town and beach resorts
Ialyssos holidays could include a visit to neighbouring Kremasti, a pretty village with a striking church, a typically atmospheric and bustling traditional tree-lined village square, and a good beach. You can also visit Pastida, a tiny village slightly inland from the coast with its typical square, fine buildings and traditional cafes.
